Seven Chakras In Kundalini Yoga

The human body holds seven prominent chakras along the spine, as described in the yogic tradition. At World Peace Yoga School, our skilled yogis guide you through the 200-hour Kundalini yoga teacher training and help you gain steady control over the hidden energy within.

01 Muladhara chakra symbol
01 Root Chakra

Muladhara

The root chakra, the foundation of the physical and spiritual being, is called Muladhara. It connects the three qualities of the soul – Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas – and sits at the root of the spine, forming a strong bond between body and soul. All six higher chakras rest upon it. It is like a storehouse of static energy until it is awakened, and then all energy is directed upward towards higher states of awareness.

02 Swadhisthana chakra symbol
02 Sacral Chakra

Swadhisthana

Located just above Muladhara, Swadhisthana is the seat of all procreative energy – the reproductive and creative centre responsible for forming life on this earth. It is also linked to strong desires. When awakened, it gives good control over one’s desires and raises that creative energy to an elevated state.

03 Manipura chakra symbol
03 Solar Plexus Chakra

Manipura

The third chakra, Manipura, is the seat of power, found in the navel region. It holds our sense of personal identity and governs physical and physiological wellbeing, with a strong influence on the flow of energy through the whole body.

04 Anahata chakra symbol
04 Heart Chakra

Anahata

Anahata sits at the centre of the chest and governs human emotions. When awakened, it opens a deep sense of happiness and peace – an emotional journey through joy and sorrow that settles into pure bliss. Some practitioners even hear subtle inner sounds, like a flute or humming, as it opens.

05 Vishuddhi chakra symbol
05 Throat Chakra

Vishuddhi

Located in the cervical plexus behind the throat, Vishuddhi is the chakra of purity. Its awakening is linked to a sweet voice, singing ability, and expressive speech. Shabd Yoga is the practice for awakening it, and it opens readily through mantra japa and devotional music.

06 Ajna chakra symbol
06 Third Eye Chakra

Ajna

Ajna is the command centre of the whole body, placed between the eyebrows. Known as the powerhouse of vision, it brings inner light and deep stillness. The best illustration of its power is the third eye of Mahadeva Shiva.

07 Sahasrara chakra symbol
07 Crown Chakra

Sahasrara

Sahasrara is the highest centre, at the crown of the head above the spinal cord, pictured as a lotus of a thousand petals. It is the supreme state of accomplishment – when awakened under a Sadguru’s guidance, it opens the way to deep trance and the highest state a human can reach.

Nothing from outside can fulfil you but yourself, happiness is within

Food

World Peace Yoga School cares about your health so that we serve the most delicious, healthy, vegetarian/vegan diet for you. According to India’s biggest science of health, Ayurveda, the nature of the body is completely dependent and influenced by food. If food is good, so is your health, and peace of mind.

What Is Yogic Diet?

Yoga believes the body is made of five elements and food also contains five elements and has six tastes. When we consume food that contains each element that is called a balanced diet or yogic diet. The whole science of Ayurveda is based on these principles. Everyone has different tastes. This is not only because of their habits but it is because of what actually the body needs. When we consume food without proper knowledge of what our body needs, we create diseases. However, when we consume food that has all the necessary elements, we are healthy and satisfied.

Yogic food contains proper nutrients that the body needs to grow. Consuming too little or too much food is also very risky for our health, so a holistic diet is very important. Yogis always avoid tamasic food like meat, egg, etc. Avoiding tamasic food helps you become more flexible and compassionate. Listen to Guruji's lecture on Vegetarianism.

A vegetarian or a healthy diet consists of green vegetables, fresh fruits, lentils, beans, plant-based oils like coconut, mustard, peanuts etc. This kind of food is easy to digest and makes us feel lighter, at peaceful, and conscious.

Compared with other yoga styles, Kundalini yoga is a more spiritual practice. It also involves physical movement, but that is not the main focus as it is in Vinyasa or Hatha yoga, which revolve mainly around the physical poses. Kundalini yoga is highly precise as well as repetitive.

Kundalini yoga is an intense practice, but its physical and mental benefits make it a good option for beginners and advanced yogis alike.

Chakras relate closely to Kundalini, the expression of the huge hidden potential within us. There are several means of unlocking this potential, such as mantra, pranayama, and meditation.

To awaken your Kundalini, you need to withdraw your prana from its fixed focus on the external world and develop ways of separating your senses from what goes on in your physical body. Only then do you get access to the potent energy of Kundalini.

This Kundalini course is for anyone who has a strong desire for a deep understanding of Kundalini, Tantra, Mantra, energy, spiritual growth, and enlightenment.

Yes, the 200 Hour Kundalini teacher training is eligible for RYT 200.

A 200 Hour Kundalini yoga teacher training is best for:

  • Students of every level who wish to become certified yoga teachers across the world.
  • Students who wish to deepen their understanding of yoga and Yoga Nidra in a single package.
  • Students who may not want to become teachers but wish to deepen their inner journey, self-growth, and self-transformation.
