Pillars Of World Peace Yoga School

Teachers & Team Of World Peace Yoga School

It is the teacher who inspires and elevates the consciousness of the student.

Television, YouTube, and social media give us plenty of information, but they cannot lead us to true knowledge and the real essence of yoga. Our teachers are deeply knowledgeable and experienced, and they pass this transmission into students’ lives with compassion, love, and continuous support.

The strength and reputation of our school lie in the strength and quality of our teachers — a passionate, honest, and humble team ready to share the ancient wisdom of yoga.

Portrait of Yogi Vishnu Panigrahi
Founder Of WPYS

Yogi Vishnu Panigrahi

Yogi Vishnu Panigrahi has been steeped in spiritual life since he was a child. His grandfather encouraged him to meditate and pursue spirituality with honesty and purity, and built a Radhe-Krishna temple in their village in Odisha, where young Vishnu would often serve food and water to wandering sadhus.

In the larger town ten kilometres away, he would skip school to attend the satsang of several swamis, among them Swami Avdheshanand Giri of Haridwar. He found a kalyana-mitra — a friend on the noble path — in a boyhood friend who would meet him at 3 a.m. in secluded places to meditate and chant Adi Shankaracharya’s Moha Mudgaram, to dispel their fears and cultivate vairagya.

On Sundays and holidays, Vishnu served poor patients at the nearby hospital, washing and caring for those waiting for and recovering from treatment on the cement floor. One day he met an old man with worm-infested wounds on his legs who had long been overlooked; for days Vishnu cleaned his beard and cared for his every need, and the grateful man blessed him.

Portrait of Maa Haripriya
Traditional Kundalini & Tantra Yoga

Maa Haripriya

“My life is dedicated to human unity, love, and compassion through our work at Samadhi Kundalini Yoga Ashram and World Peace Yoga School. Kundalini Tantra, pranayama, and meditation are my passions, and my goal is to help set you free to be your true, authentic self.”

Born in the UK to an Indian family, she was drawn to spirituality from a young age, but it was life’s missteps and experiences that made the call of her soul loud enough to leave the UK and return to India. Yoga lifted the veil and let her live in the present moment once again.

She immersed herself in the wisdom of yoga, learning from many great Himalayan masters, qualifying as a Kundalini Yoga teacher, and mastering sound healing, cacao rituals, and Reiki, which she brings into her Kundalini practice. As Kundalini teacher at World Peace Yoga School, her vision is to share the wisdom that changed her life.

Born and raised in Rishikesh, the international capital of yoga, Ashutosh Mishra is strongly rooted in Hatha Yoga and therapeutic yoga. His teaching combines intelligent sequencing with alignment suited to each student’s body and health condition.

Introduced to yoga at a young age, he spent three years at Patanjali University, earning a bachelor’s degree in yogic science, and then a master’s in yoga therapy from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University.

He began practising karma yoga in the ashram, helping local and international students bridge cultural barriers and discover ashram life. He teaches both therapy and TTC students, and his ‘continue to improve’ mindset makes him a great asset to the school.

Sujata Ray (Mili)

Sujata Ray was born in 1993 in Puri, the land of Lord Jagannath, the eldest daughter of Madhusudan Ray and Swarnalata Ray. Born with a small hole near her lungs that caused breathing problems, she was cured by her father through naturopathy — acupressure, yoga, and pranayama — instead of an expensive, uncertain treatment.

That healing sparked her interest in naturopathy from the sixth grade onwards. Between 2005 and 2014 she was a national gymnastics player 14 times and a top-10 position holder, a national Mallakhamb player ten times, and earned recognition in Odissi dance, yoga, and acupressure. She now inspires others to benefit from naturopathy.

Authentic Himalayan tradition, not a watered down tourist course. The anatomy classes alone were worth the trip.
