Food

Throughout your learning journey with us, you'll be treated to a daily buffet of substantial and healthy vegetarian meals, which is included in the course price. Start your day off right with a nutritious breakfast. Lunch and dinner menus feature a wide choice of salads, curries, and other foods created with plant-based ingredients, with inspiration derived from Thai, Indian, and Western cuisines. The majority of our cuisine is vegetarian, with numerous vegan choices (labeled explicitly). On all teaching days, the training cost includes breakfast, lunch, and supper. Several neighboring eateries serve a variety of healthy and traditional Thai dishes.

What Is Yogic Diet?

Yoga is much more than a series of pretzel-like positions. It is a spiritual philosophy as well as a way of life based on healthy living. Some yoga practitioners adopt a vegetarian or vegan diet, while others adhere to a stricter diet free of stimulants such as coffee, alcohol, and refined sugar. The primary benefit of a yogic diet is that it promotes healing, balance, and inner serenity. The yogic diet emphasizes the intake of natural, unprocessed foods that enhance spiritual, mental, and physical health while also aligning with yogic philosophy, and it is largely centered on the yogic principles of ahimsa, sattva, and saucha.

You can follow the yogic diet with small changes and experience how you feel. After that, you can add more changes slowly to your diet. Here is how to follow a yogic diet:

  • Eat fresh, organic, seasonal fruits. You can grow your vegetables in a garden.
  • Be vegetarian by using nuts, leafy greens, dairy products, legumes, etc.
  • Purify the energetic and physical bodies by reducing or eliminating stimulants and chemicals.
  • Allow at least 5 hours between your meals to fully digest it.
  • Keep your meals light and small before asana practice to avoid discomfort.
  • Your digestive fire is strongest during midday so consume the biggest meal of the day.
  • Your body digests cooked food more easily compared to raw meals. Try to eat cooked vegetables at dinner.
  • Emphasize healing herbs and spices including black pepper, cilantro, parsley, cumin, basil, mint, fennel, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, etc.
