What Is Yogic Diet?

The yogic diet promotes eating entire, unadulterated meals such as fresh fruits and vegetables. Sattvic meals are nutrient-dense and simple to digest. The yogic diet prohibits Tamasic and Rajasic items such as meat and alcohol.

The yogic diet, also known as the sattvic diet, is founded on the idea that our bodies and thoughts are inextricably linked. Consider it the direct translation of "you are what you eat": if you consume sattvic foods, your mind and body will be clean.

Plan your snacks and meals that include fats, carbs, and proteins in a balanced way. It will help you to switch to a yogic or sattvic diet. Choose fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, grains, etc. to follow a yogic diet.

Do not consume food that increases heat in your body like garlic and onions. Stop consuming packaged food and opt for more organic meals. Yogic food affects positively your mind and body.

The human body is made out of 5 elements and the food also contains 5 elements. A yogic or sattvic diet contains all the elements required for your body. Ayurveda is based on these yogic principles.

The sattvic diet is recommended in the ayurvedic literature for a better and healthy life. Yoga recommends that eating habits are an important part of yoga practices. Yoga tells us about the quality and quantity of drinks and foods.
