Here the participants experience the age-old practices of Himalayan yogic traditions like pranayama, meditation, hatha yoga asana, and Panchakarma. Panchakarma means five powerful cleansing therapies that remove very deep-rooted toxins from the body in a natural way and balance three doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha. This retreat is thoughtfully designed to help practitioners connect and explore yoga with deeper meaning through guided practices.

By going through yoga, meditation, and the panchakarma process, it not only cleanses body and mind but also restores digestive fire, strengthens immunity, rejuvenates tissues, and also increases mental clarity.

Personalized Consultation: Each guest is given a detailed consultation with our experienced Ayurvedic doctor. Based on the individual's health needs, lifestyle, and body constitution (Prakriti), a customized Panchakarma plan is created. And accordingly, the practitioner is given wellness treatments.

Theraphy Overview

What Are The Five Main Panchakarma Therapies?

The five main panchakarma therapies are vamana, virechana, basti, nasya, and raktamokshana.

  • Vamana is a process of controlled vomiting to remove Kapha problems like asthma, chronic cough, obesity, and skin diseases. It removes excess mucus and toxins from the upper body.
  • Virechana is a controlled herbal laxative for pitta disorders caused by skin problems, liver disorders, acidity, and hormonal imbalance. It deeply cleanses the liver, gallbladder, and small intestine.
  • Basti is therapy for removing vata disorders and getting relief from joint pains, arthritis, sciatica, back pain, and nervous system disorders. To nourish and detoxify the colon by sending decoctions through the rectum.
  • Nasya is used to treat head and neck disorders like sinusitis, migraine, hair fall, cervical stiffness, and anxiety. Cleanses toxins from head.
  • Raktamokshana is purification of blood used to rectify skin diseases, acne, psoriasis, and abscesses.
  • Meditation helps the mind to become completely calm, aware, and free from surface-level thoughts. It helps the mind to naturally settle into stillness. Practices like Mantra Meditation, Trataka, etc., are practiced. Meditation not only brings clarity and focus but also helps in being grounded to earth.
  • Pranayama is taught as a foundational science for cleansing and activating the Nadis (energy channels) within the body.

We provide freshly cooked sattvic meals 3 times a day. It is our discipline for students to stay away from alcohol, non-vegetarian and Tobacco as it might hamper the inner system while following yogic life style at school. Students should maintain their personal and surroundings spaces clean as it is part of karma yoga. Behaviour is critical, students must respect teachers and other students.
