Our Founder's Journey

Yogi Vishnu Panigrahi has been steeped in spiritual endeavors since childhood. As a young boy, his grandfather advised him to meditate and pursue spirituality from an honest and pure perspective.

A Radhe-Krishna Temple was constructed by his grandfather in their village in Odisha, India where Vishnu would frequently serve food and water to wandering sadhus.

In the larger town ten kilometers away from his village, young Vishnu would skip school and attend the satsang (spiritual company and discourse of the saintly) of several swamis, counting among them was Swami Avdheshanand Giri of Haridwar. He found a kalyana-mitra (friend on the noble path) in a boyhood friend who would arrange to meet with him at 3 a.m. in secluded places away from the village. Here they would join for meditation and chant "Mohamudgaram," a famous hymn by Adi Shankaracharya, to dispel their fears and gain vairagya (intense inclination to renunciation).
On Sundays and holidays, Vishnu would serve the impoverished people at the nearby hospital by washing them and taking care of those waiting and recovering from treatment. There was always a lack of nurses to care for the patients who had to lay on the cement floor with bare facilities. One day, young Vishnu met an old man who had a horrible odor with small worms attached to his legs. He was neglected by the doctors for a long time but eventually, his legs were treated and bandaged. For a few days, Vishnu took it upon himself to care for the man by cleaning his beard and taking care of his every need. The man was so grateful and — driven to happiness the old man blessed young Vishnu.

Dr. Gaurav Agrawal an experienced philosophy and meditation teacher. A professor of clinical psychology in an Indian university he is well versed in both ancient and modern sciences of mind. He was born in a religious Hindu family which gave him chance to learn and practice Indian spiritual values from the beginning.He is a simple and married man living with his family. He brings various small illustrations from the scriptures and other sources to explain a difficult and dry subject to look interesting, entertaining and connected to daily life. This way yoga seems easy to follow and important in our daily lives. He also encourages debates and invites the students to take part openly by relating their own understanding and experiences. For many westerners, eastern ideas are difficult to follow as they need to believe some ideas of a different world. But, being a scientist and researcher Gaurav does not ask for believing and asks his students to test the things by logic, reason and experimentation. He brings his understanding of modern psychology in his teachings and views the yoga and meditation as an ancient system of understanding personality and therapeutic guidelines. Gaurav specializes in Meditation Techniques and philosophy of Yoga. He teaches the meditation by various techniques ranging from one minute to slowly-slowly taking up to 50-60 Minutes. This way the practitioner never realizes that he is learning meditation which was earlier so difficult for him. He decided to choose the career of a meditation and philosophy teacher as he says it is a noble profession and also gives him the chance to practice the spiritual techniques in his own life. He honestly tries to follow what he teaches. One of his favorite stories is below: One new disciple told his master that when he meditated in the meditation retreat he suffered the pain in the body and he could not concentrate. He had great troubles in sitting in the meditation. The master replied with smile, That will pass. Nothing is permanent. After few months the disciple told his master with great excitement that he had been getting success in the meditation as he was having some wonderful experiences and he was seeing various beautiful visions in the meditation. The master smiled again and told, That will pass. Nothing is permanent.

She has tremendous expertise in ICU Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy applications in various conditions and Therapeutic Yoga.She has dealt with more than 900 cases of Cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and disorders and more than 1000 orthopedic and more than 400 lifestyle disorder cases. She has demonstrated a keen teaching acumen and has worked as an Assistant Professor, Physiotherapy & Yoga Therapy Consultant, S-VYASA, Bangalore. She has trained hundreds of students in Physiotherapy, MD (Yoga and Rehabilitation) and Bachelors in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) courses. Kasyap, an eminent educationist, Swami Ji developed exceptional hobbies of touring the Great vibrating Himalayas in pursuit of acquiring meditational and yogic skills to become a master of "Mistry School". Swami Ji authored invaluable works since 1986. Being clear hearted he began with poetry. His clasping publications like "Dard Ki Amanat", "Himalaya Ki Mahak" culminated into "Man Ki Bansuri" (2011), all are poetical songs of nature and natural feelings of humans. Swami Ji in his own style explored the medicational skills of acupressure and 'sparsh' therapy as his side hobbies. He strongly propagated and delved deep into real knowledge in his writing of high order titled "Punarjagran"(1991), unsatiated, the Swami in him then brought out his very exceptional treaties on "Atamgyan" 2009 i.e the essence of teachings of the ancient sage "Ashthavakra" the invincible, analyzed in most beautiful manner and praised by all readers equally. Untiringly he wrote " Yog Samagra Vigyan" in 2011 to spread the message of astang yoga. While his articles and weekly publications on teachings of Lord Mahavir are eagerly awaited by his disciples and public all across, encomiums are showered upon him even now as in his young age. Briefly stating, he received President Medal for bravery and a number of accolades in alternative therapies. The best tribute was given to his work in poetry in a dissertation of Miss Chetna tharu who presented it on "Nature and love in the poetry of Swami Sanjiv Ji" for her M. Phil completion. He can be heard pervasively in talks, discussion, poetry and programs, whereas his unbound and captivating knowledge flows freely in his classes and seminars on meditation, rekie and yoga.
